The magazine writes in their introduction: “In only four years Norwegian-based WeSubsea has reached the front rank in the design and supply of specialised dredges and subsea tools. Now in an increasing spread of high level partnerships, its unique product range is penetrating ever-widening global markets, as CEO Rune Svendsen tells Total World Energy.”
J2 Subsea, an Acteon company and part of Seatronics Ltd, has agreed to represent WeSubsea products in the UK and overseas. WeSubsea engineers a full range of Titanium ROV dredgers, which are designed to move sediment on the seabed for a range of subsea applications. J2 Subsea will also present other subsea equipment from WeSubsea.
WeSubsea uses optimaised technology to construct titanium dredgers that use substantially lower pressures and volumes of hydrulic fluids than other ROV dredgers on the market. The small, lightweight titanium dredgers produce powerful suction and are easily operated by either divers or the ROV’s hydraulics. Each dredger is manufactured with minimal parts, to increase operational dependability.
John Walker, director of J2 Subsea, said, “This agreement will add another range of products to our growing ROV Tooling division, and, with the exception of Norway and Canada, the products will be available from J2 Subsea locations globally.”
Walker continued, “WeSubsea’s smaller, lighter, easier to handle dredgers require less fluid than existing products on the market, and can easily be configured to suit the needs of any project. Our customers will save valuable time in their subsea operations with local access to this high-quality technology.”
Rune Svendsen, CEO of WeSubsea, states; “The agreement with J2 Subsea will strengthen our ability to provide our global customers with our proven technology and market leading solutions. This cooperation will ensure the quality of WeSubsea`s products and services, and give WeSubsea an even greater proximity to customers and the subsea market worldwide.
J2 Subsea, an Acteon company, is showcasing the We3D, WeSubsea´s new 3” titanium ROV dredger at Subsea Asia, Seatronics booth #1026, this week in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Acteon companies J2 Subsea and Seatronics are now offering WeSubsea´s full range of titanium dredgers from worldwide locations.
The We3D dredger is designed to operate on smaller ROVs and larger work class ROVs. Due to WeSubsea’s optimised and well proven technology, the We3D demands less power input to provide a highly efficient dredger that remains clog-free. Its ability to operate on low power input provides a solution to the lack of efficient dredgers available for smaller ROVs in the industry.
The dredger is constructed from titanium and is highly compact. Its lightweight and robust features ensure that the We3D is easier to mobilise and operate than other solutions in the market.
John Walker, director of J2 Subsea, said, “We are excited to present the We3D dredger at Subsea Asia, as we are growing significantly in the region, and value the opportunity to showcase high-end technology in an important local arena. The new 3” Titanium ROV dredger is considerably more powerful than others currently on the market, easy to use and low maintenance, making it an ideal offering for our customers, who expect to be supplied with top-quality technology.”
The Norwegian subsea company has estbalished in Canada by cooperation with Atlantic Canadian subsea engineering and services company Frontier Subsea Inc.
WeSubsea and Frontier Subsea have reached an agreement that will allow WeSubsea to deliver their equipment and services to the Canadian subsea market through Frontier Subsea.
